Freaky Ancient Technique on the Rise How to Get Rid of Facial Hair Fast

Cleopatra did it.

It is said that Marilyn Monroe and Elizabeth Taylor also did it. And I hear they all used the same technique as part of their beauty tips and tricks.

And to most of us, we consider this freaky ancient technique on how to get rid of facial hair fast TABOO. I know I sure do, did, and have, at least up until now.

But let’s face it, facial hair on women is a problem for many of us. For some, it is genetic. For others facial hair is a sign of aging. Hormones on overdrive. That is why the anti-aging world for men and women is booming.

But I digress…..

So what was the secret technique that these three these iconic world class beauties were using?

Shaving! They shaved their faces! FREAKY!

"What were they thinking?", you might be thinking!

Not quite the norm in our society is it ladies? Shaving has not been one of my beauty tips and tricks. But obviously face shaving works.

So repeat after me: how do you get rid of unwanted facial hair fast? Face shaving.

And if you would like to jump right in and start shaving your face from home today, I have hand selected 7 face razors including manual and electric, one set of surgical scalpels plus one do it yourself at home kit, so you can start face shaving immediately from the comfort of your own home. Now, in today’s day and age this “FACE shaving” is called “Dermaplaning”. Done professionally by a certified aesthetician, he or she runs a scalpel blade over the face to exfoliate the skin and also remove hair.

Watch an expert perform a treatment below. She gives some good advice on the angle of the blade. Definitely worth watching.

Besides getting rid of facial hair fast, Dermaplaning has additional redeeming qualities.

1. Dermaplaning is also a safe form of skin exfoliation, sloughing away dead skin cells that requires no downtime or chemicals and offers immediate results.

2. Dermaplaning is a quick procedure with few to no adverse effects.

3. Dermaplaning removes translucent peach fuzz.

4. Dermaplaning can reduce clogged pores.

5. Dermaplaning helps to reduce the appearance of fine lines and hyper-pigmentation.

Unlike with most forms of hair removal, you do not have to worry about “fuzz” or hairs growing back thicker. Anyone who wants to get rid of unwanted facial hair fast can benefit from this treatment as it is suitable for all skin types and conditions.

Or, like the video you just watched, you can choose to go with the experts.

Medical aesthetician, Erica Savoie at Avenue Skin Care Clinic in Toronto Canada said old techniques are becoming trendy again because they work.

She said that dermaplaning, in its most recent reincarnation, has been around for 30 years and has since been tried and tested since Cleopatra’s days.

For dermaplaning treatments, Erica has 30 clients a month who come in for a one-hour session to help get rid of facial hair. Each session costs $150.00 CDN. And the age bracket of her clients is diverse that it ranges from 20 to 80 years old.

In the United States, the prices can range between $65 and $150 USD, and may be included as part of a package involving specific treatments such as hyperbolic oxygen facials or other services provided by the medi-spa or surgeons office.

Savoie says a lot of women are still cagey when it comes to dermaplaning because they are apprehensive that the facial hair will grow back coarser and thicker like that of a man’s beard. She said that’s not the case. If dermaplaning did cause this, a lot of bald (& balding) men would get this treatment.

Savoie also says that although hair may grow back a little “spiky” that is normal because of the blunt cut. She’s calling thick regrowth due to shaving a myth.

She added that the benefits of getting rid of unwanted facial hair is huge.

The Vellus hairs remain soft and hair eventually grows back from as little as 2 weeks to as long as 2 months, depending on the person.

Are there risks with facial shaving?

A few. With facial shaving, this may include ingrown hairs and skin irritation. Aestheticians actually draw the line in performing the procedure to clients with serious acne problems.

And for those women who are facing abnormal hair growth? They should consult a doctor as they may be experiencing hormonal imbalances, dermatologists suggest.

Even though getting rid of unwanted facial hair through Dermaplaning is still not totally accepted the world over, women who are looking for help to get rid of excess facial hair as part of their total anti-aging routine are not the least bit embarrassed by incorporating this freaky ancient technique made new again. They are proud of their skin.

Including menopausal gals where hormone imbalances can sometimes trigger the growth of excess facial hair.

Getting rid of unwanted facial hair revealing smooth beautiful glowing skin like the Cleopatra, Marilyn Monroe and Liz Taylor sounds pretty good to me! All in all, that is why women who have taken to shaving their faces are totally raving about it!
