Buffalo Wing Hummus

Love hummus and know that it’s good for you, but find it a little b-o-r-i-n-g? Why not kick it up a notch? Try making this Buffalo Wing Hummus, which takes only 10 minutes to prepare.

Drain and rinse 3 cups canned chickpeas (Reserve about 1/2 cup of the liquid)
Add 2 or  3 cloves of garlic
1 tablespoon distilled white vinegar
1/4 cup tahini (sesame seed paste)
1 1/2 teaspoons  of paprika
2 tablespoons of barbecue sauce
1/4 cup lemon juice (preferably fresh)
2 to 3 tablespoons cayenne hot sauce (Frank’s Red Hot sauce!)
1 1/2 teaspoons Kosher salt

Put the chickpeas, chickpea liquid, lemon juice, hot sauce, tahini, teaspoons salt, vinegar, garlic, paprika, and barbecue sauce in a food processor.


Puree until creamy and smooth.


Serve with wheat tortilla wedges.
